
SAFETY & HEALTH OFFICER - Kuching
Requirements & Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Green Book certification issued by the Malaysian Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in a construction industry
Comprehensive knowledge of Malaysian OSH regulations, including OSHA 1994
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to promote a culture of safety
Strong problem- solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to prepare clear and accurate safety reports
Able to communicate in Chinese is preferred
Job Description:
Oversee, plan, organize, coordinate, administer and direct all aspects of HSE
Ensure that safety standards are maintained continually seek ways to improve safety standards. Establish and ensure implantation of best safety practices
Advise Management on all matters pertaining to safety and health including compliances with Legislation’s on safety and health
Provide information, technical assistance and interpretations of OSHA and company’s OHSE standard for the employee’s and sub-contractor
Perform regular safety inspection to various hazards and take necessary precautions measures to conduct safety briefing and trainings
Implement safety policies and procedures at sites and ensure compliances
Coordinate and liaise with relevant authorities such as DOSH, DOE and Health Department
Responsible on daily site activity and reporting to the immediate superior
Maintain relevant safety reports, records and certificates required under the Act
Investigate and report all reportable accidents :internally to relevant persons, and externally to the relevant authorities
Ensure all the highlight issue by the main contractor is all in order and must be rectify before the due date as given
