STRUCTURAL & FORMWORK ENGINEER - Kuching
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out structural design and engineering calculations for precast concrete components and formwork systems. 
Prepare, review and check structural, precast and formwork drawings prior to production and construction. 
Develop formwork erection drawings and technical details for precast works. 
Perform engineering calculations to ensure structural adequacy, constructability and compliance with project   requirements. 
Review drawings prepared by Drafters and provide technical guidance and necessary amendments. 
Perform quantity take-off and assist in material estimation for precast and structural works. 
Prepare and review 3D models/illustrations where required for production, erection and technical coordination. 
Coordinate with consultants, Project, Production, QAQC and Site teams on technical and design matters. 
Resolve design discrepancies and technical issues arising during precast production and site installation/erection. 
Ensure designs and drawings comply with approved specifications, relevant engineering standards and project   requirements. 
Maintain proper engineering calculations, drawings, revisions and technical documentation. 
Provide technical support to the production team for precast fabrication and construction activities. 
Perform other engineering duties assigned by the superior. 
REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent. 
Preferably 2–3 years of relevant working experience in structural design, precast concrete, formwork or related   construction works. 
Previous experience working with a structural design consultant will be an added advantage. 
Good knowledge of structural analysis, design principles and engineering calculations. 
Proficient in AutoCAD. 
Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or other structural/3D engineering design software will be an advantage. 
Able to read, interpret, prepare and check structural and construction drawings. 
Familiar with precast concrete design, detailing, production and erection processes is an advantage. 
Good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, production teams and project/site personnel. 
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
