LOGISITIC MANAGER (1Post) (Immediate) - Kuching
Seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s logistics, transportation and
supply chain activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of construction materials, precast
components, machinery, equipment and other project-related resources between suppliers, yards, factories and
project sites
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage and coordinate daily logistics and transportation operations for construction projects.
Coordinate the delivery and movement of construction materials, precast components, machinery and equipment to project sites.
Develop transportation schedules and ensure deliveries are completed safely and within required project timelines.
Coordinate closely with Project, Production, Procurement, Store, QS and Site teams on material and delivery requirements.
Manage and monitor company vehicles, trucks, transporters and third-party logistics service providers.
Monitor transportation costs, fuel usage, vehicle utilisation and other logistics-related expenses.
Monitor inventory/material movements and ensure proper coordination between suppliers, storage facilities and project sites.
Identify logistics risks, delivery bottlenecks and operational issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
Ensure logistics and transportation activities comply with company procedures and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
Prepare logistics reports, cost analyses, delivery schedules and other management reports.
Develop and improve logistics procedures and systems to support the company's growing project requirements.
Lead and supervise logistics personnel, drivers and other relevant operational staff.
Perform other logistics and operational duties assigned by Management.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in logistics, transportation and/or supply chain management.
Experience in the construction, infrastructure, precast, manufacturing or heavy transportation industry will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of transportation planning, fleet coordination, delivery scheduling and supply chain operations.
Experience coordinating heavy vehicles, construction materials, machinery or oversized/project cargo will be advantageous.
Strong leadership, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and handle multiple projects or delivery requirements simultaneously.
Willing to travel to project sites and work outside normal office hours when operationally required.
Possess a valid driving licence.
