CONTRACT MANAGER (can speak Chinese is required) (Sarawak Kuching Gala City)
Salary: Negotiable
Job Responsibilities:
project-related contracts
Prepare, review and issue contracts, letters, notices and contractual correspondence
Monitor contractual obligations, requirements, deadlines and deliverables
Review and manage Variation Orders (VO), Extension of Time (EOT), claims and related submissions
Handle contractual claims, disputes and negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
Review and assess subcontractor and supplier contracts and payment-related matters
Maintain proper records of contracts, correspondence, claims and supporting documents
Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and Site Teams on contractual matters
Identify contractual risks and provide recommendations to management
Ensure project activities are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements
Attend meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other relevant parties
Perform other contract-related duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration,
or related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract management, preferably in the construction or engineering
industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontract agreements, claims and variations
Familiar with FIDIC / PAM / JKR contracts is an advantage
Good understanding of contract terms, commercial matters and project documentation
Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Good command of English and Chinese; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willing to travel or work at project sites when required
Willing to perform other duties assigned by the ManagerAble to communicate in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia,
and English
