ACCOUNTS OFFICER
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on a timely basis.
Prepare and maintain Payment Vouchers (PV), Journal Vouchers (JV), and relevant supporting documents.
Record company transactions, expenses, receipts, and other accounting entries accurately.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, supporting schedules, and documentation.
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and account summaries.
Review accounting records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper supporting documentation.
Assist with tax estimation, tax instalment payments, tax filing preparation, and related compliance matters.
Support coordination with the Company Secretary on corporate documentation and company information updates when required.
Assist in liaising with banks regarding updates to company information, authorised signatories, directors, and other banking matters.
Monitor relevant licensing, council, and regulatory requirements relating to assigned companies.
Assist in monitoring the financial status and activities of assigned companies, including companies with active, minimal, or dormant transactions.
Provide general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Carry out other accounting or finance-related duties as assigned from time to time.
What We're Looking For
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferably 1–3 years of relevant working experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or a similar role.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and Malaysian tax requirements.
Experience in handling accounts for multiple companies will be an added advantage.
Experience with accounting software is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team.
