QUANTITY SURVEYOR - Kuching
Responsibility:
Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
Prepare, evaluate, and administer subcontractor and supplier quotations, tenders, and contracts.
Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO), Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures, and identify cost variances.
Verify subcontractor work and certify progress claims for payment.
Review contract documents and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments on commercial and contractual matters.
Maintain accurate contract records, project cost documentation, and commercial correspondence.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years relevant experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, progress claims, VO, EOT, and final accounts.
Able to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Quantity surveying software.
Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure.
Willing to travel and visit project sites when required
