SURVEYOR
Conducting detailed site surveys and measurements using advanced surveying equipment and technology to establish accurate baseline data for construction projects
Preparing comprehensive survey reports, plans and documentation that clearly communicate findings to project managers, engineers and stakeholders
Setting out and marking building lines, grades and reference points on site to guide construction activities and ensure alignment with design specifications
Monitoring and recording ground levels, existing structures and site conditions to identify potential challenges or variations from original plans
Utilising surveying software and CAD applications to process survey data and generate accurate digital models and drawings
Liaising with construction teams, engineers and clients to clarify survey requirements and resolve technical queries or discrepancies
Ensuring compliance with relevant surveying standards, safety regulations and quality assurance protocols throughout all survey activities
Maintaining detailed records of all survey work, equipment calibrations and site observations for project documentation and audit purposes
Supporting the identification and resolution of boundary issues, easements and land-related matters that may affect project scope
What we're looking for
A recognised qualification or diploma in Surveying or a related discipline from an accredited institution
Proven professional experience working as a Surveyor in the construction or civil engineering sector, preferably in Malaysia or similar climates
Proficiency in using modern surveying instruments including total stations, GPS/GNSS technology, levels and laser measurement tools
Strong competency with surveying and CAD software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent applications
Solid understanding of building regulations, planning requirements and surveying best practices relevant to construction projects
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse project teams and client representatives
Physical fitness and willingness to work on-site in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain
Professional memberships or registrations with surveying bodies (such as BAS – Board of Architects Malaysia or equivalent) would be advantageous
Knowledge of drainage, utilities and infrastructure surveying is desirable but not essential
