Finance Account Junior Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and finance operations,
including transaction recording, invoicing, payment processing, accounts payable and receivable, financial
documentation, and routine database extraction. The role ensures that financial records and data are accurate,
complete, properly maintained, and available for reporting and management review.
Job Roles:
- Record and maintain daily accounting transactions in the accounting system
- Extract routine financial and accounting data from the company database for reporting and monitoring
- Review and verify extracted database information for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare routine financial summaries, listings, and reports based on extracted database records
- Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, delivery orders, and supporting documents before payment processing
- Monitor customer invoices, outstanding balances, and payment collections
- Assist in preparing payment schedules and follow up on outstanding payments
- Perform bank, cash, and other account reconciliations
- Assist in checking and verifying staff claims, petty cash, advances, and expenses
- Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, statements, and other financial documents
- Assist in monthly closing and preparation of financial reports and schedules
- Assist in preparing management reports, financial summaries, and accounting analysis
- Monitor and update customer and supplier account records
- Assist in checking project-related costs, expenses, sales, fees, service charges, and other financial data
- Coordinate with HR, Procurement, Project, and Operations teams on finance and accounting matters
- Assist in ensuring timely submission and payment of statutory and financial obligations
- Assist with audit preparation by providing relevant accounting records and supporting documents
- Ensure all financial information and database records are handled accurately and confidentially
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Management
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in accounting or finance is an advantage
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with accounting software such as SQL Accounting is an advantage
- Able to extract, organise, and analyse routine data from accounting databases
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records and data
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to maintain confidentiality when handling financial and company information
