MECHANICAL COST ESTIMATOR (QUANTITY SURVEYOR)

• QS Manager / Management

Job Purpose 

• To perform accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender preparation and commercial administration for mechanical engineering projects, including steel fabrication, equipment repairs, piping installation, machinery maintenance and other industrial works.
• The position is responsible for ensuring project costs are properly estimated, documented, monitored and coordinated with the Operations, PMO, Procurement and Finance Departments.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Preferably 3–5 years of experience in mechanical estimation, industrial engineering, or related QS work.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical fabrication, piping, structural steel, and industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Knowledge of material take-off, BOQ preparation, labour costing, tendering, and claims.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Willing to attend palm oil mill sites and fabrication workshops.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple departments, contractors, and project teams.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.
• Candidates with previous experience in palm oil mills, oil & gas, industrial plant maintenance, steel fabrication, or mechanical installation projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
