LORRY DRIVER - Bintawa, Kuching
Responsibilities
Deliver goods safely and on time to customers according to the assigned delivery schedule and routes.
Ensure that the correct quantity and type of goods are loaded and delivered to the respective customers.
Check goods against Delivery Orders (DO) and other relevant documents before departure and upon delivery.
Ensure all Delivery Orders and relevant documents are properly acknowledged by customers and returned to the   office.
Assist with the loading and unloading of goods when required.
Handle and transport goods carefully to prevent damage, loss or incorrect delivery.
Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned lorry.
Conduct basic daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical problems, damage or maintenance   requirements to the Supervisor or Management.
Ensure the assigned vehicle is properly maintained and serviced according to schedule.
Comply with all road safety regulations, traffic laws and company safety procedures at all times.
Plan and follow appropriate delivery routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
Maintain professional and courteous conduct when dealing with customers.
Perform any other delivery, transportation or ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
Possess a valid Malaysian driving licence with the appropriate GDL licence.
Relevant working experience as a Lorry Driver is preferred.
Familiar with local roads and delivery routes.
Good driving record and knowledge of road safety regulations.
Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
Responsible, punctual, honest and trustworthy.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to follow delivery schedules and instructions accurately.
Good time management and a strong sense of responsibility.
Able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and supervisors.
