
PURCHASING MANAGER - Kuching
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement function. The successful candidate
will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, controlling purchasing costs,
and ensuring the timely procurement of materials to support our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms.
Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, consumables, and operational supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
Prepare purchasing reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Lead and develop the purchasing team.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
