
PURCHASING & COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT - Kuching
Job Responsibilities
Assist in purchasing and procurement activities.
Apply and renew permits, licences, and regulatory approvals.
Manage barcode registration and updates.
Coordinate Halal certification applications and renewals.
Liaise with government authorities, suppliers, and certification bodies.
Maintain compliance records and product documentation.
Assist in product registration and document submissions.
Support the Purchasing Manager with administrative and ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Food Science, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or regulatory/compliance administration
Knowledge of import/export permits, Halal certification, barcode registration, or food regulatory requirements is an advantage.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Able to liaise with government authorities, suppliers, and internal departments.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn.
