
ASSISTANT PURCHASING MANAGER - Kuching (HQ)
Responsibilities:
Manage full spectrum of purchasing activities, including developing and implementing purchasing strategies and plans, identifying and selecting new suppliers, evaluating price quotations and product specifications, and managing existing suppliers.
Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
To ensure that store has sufficient inventory to cover for production requirements.
To ensure on time arrival of material to meet master production schedule.
Communicate with suppliers, service providers or vendors either within Malaysia or overseas to support or source new/niche materials needed for the project.
Ensure Timely release the Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order.
Timely update the Purchase Order status to relevant departments and expediting Purchase Orders to meet the production schedule.
Assist to evaluate supplier’s performance, price’s competitiveness and material quality standard.
Assist to plan and work with production’s personnel to review materials requirements and delivery lead time to customer’s urgent needs.
Monitoring price increases and communicating changes as necessary.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Engineering/ Manufacturing or any in any discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant experience.
Good communication and strong interpersonal skill.
Strong analytical and negotiation skill.
Teamwork Interpersonal Skills.
