MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Can be based in Sibu, Bintulu, Mukah/ Sarawak region
Office HQ is located at 15 1/2 miles, Kuching Outer Ring Rd, 94300 Kota Samarahan, Sarawak

Job Scope :

• Oversees and supports mechanical engineering works, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery from design to commissioning by ensuring designs comply with industry standards.
• Prepare, review and control engineering designs and drawings :- 2.1 Layout drawings
  • P&IDs
  • GA Drawings
  • Fabrication and installation drawings
• Site visits to verify installation against approved drawings, constructability and performance verification.
• Assist in final documentation and handover to mill operations.
• Develop and implement QAQC plans, ITPs, and inspection checklist for mechanical system and work procedure.
• Review and manage :-
  • Materials submittals
  • Method statement
  • Welding procedures (WPS/PQR)
  • Vendor and fabrication drawings.
• Manage NCRs, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions and quality records.
• Maintain QAQC documentation for audits, statutory submission, and project close-out.
• Coordinate with operation site teams and contractors on mechanical works and quality issues.
• Provide engineering input for project planning, cost control, and procurement
• Act as technical representative during site visit, inspection, testing and commissioning
