Prepare comprehensive project cost estimates, BOQs, and unit rate build-ups across all disciplines based on drawings, specifications &, market data.
Develop and maintain the overall project budget covering materials, labour, equipment, subcontract works, logistics, contingencies, and escalation provisions.
Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets, identify variances, and prepare cost control reports, forecasts, and budget updates.
Review contractor progress claims, commitments, purchase orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project progress.
Track all scope changes, design revisions, and technical clarifications, and assess their cost, schedule, and risk implications.
Prepare monthly cost reports, budget performance summaries, and cash flow projections for project and management meetings.
Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, procurement, site, finance, QS, contractors, and consultants to obtain cost inputs and resolve commercial matters.
Communicate cost risks, financial exposure, and cost optimisation opportunities to support informed project decision-making.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Cost Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, cost planning, project budgeting, or cost control for construction/industrial projects.
Experience in handling project budgets, cost tracking, cashflow forecasting, and variance analysis.
Familiar with construction drawings, specifications, and project scopes (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and utilities).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and cost control tools
Willing to be site-based and travel as required by project needs.
