HSSE ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTIONS
 

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOSH, FMA, CIDB, DOE and all site HSSE requirements.
• Assist in implementing HSSE policies, SOPs, PTW systems and safety guidelines for the project and operations.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards, and monitor high-risk activities.
• Support review of contractors’ HIRARC, JSA, method statements and PTW documentation.
• Assist in environmental monitoring
• Assist in site security arrangements, basic emergency response planning, fire safety checks and emergency drills.
• Prepare HSSE reports, maintain documentation, and support internal/external audits
• DOSH, DOE, ISO, client audits).
• Report incidents/near misses and assist in investigations, RCA and follow-up of CAPA actions.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox briefings, safety awareness sessions and monitor contractor HSSE compliance.
• Support HSSE requirements for commissioning and plant readiness including ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 activities.

REQUIREMENTS
 

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or any related technical degree.
• At least 3 years working in HSSE and/or environmental roles in construction, industrial plants, or manufacturing facilities.
• Certified Environmental Professional.
• Experience handling EIA compliance, DOE audits, environmental monitoring, SW management, and environmental reporting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOSH, DOE, CIDB, EQA 1974, SW Regulations, and project HSSE standards.
• Competent in environmental monitoring, SW management, PTW systems HSSE reporting, and emergency response.
• Willing to be site-based and travel as required by project needs
