M&E ENGINEER

Job Purpose
 

• Plan, manage, and supervise Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works on construction projects.
• Ensure M&E installations comply with design drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Support safe, timely, and quality execution of M&E systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and ELV systems.

Key Responsibilities
A. Technical & Engineering Support
 

• Review and verify M&E drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate design discrepancies and submit RFIs for technical clarifications.
• Prepare method statements, technical proposals, and calculations as required

.
B. Planning & Coordination
 

• Plan M&E works in line with the project schedule.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Resolve clashes with architectural and structural works.

C. Site Supervision & Monitoring
 

• Monitor daily M&E installations and workmanship.
• Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
• Verify materials and ensure installation matches approved drawings.

D. Documentation & Reporting
 

• Maintain logs for materials, drawings, inspections, and testing.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly M&E progress reports.
• Assist in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and as-built documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements
 

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 2–5 years experience in M&E engineering on construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office; BIM/Revit knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
