Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and supervise the work performed by Accounts Executives, ensuring accuracy, completeness and proper accounting treatment.
- Coordinate and ensure timely month-end closing and submission of monthly management accounts.
- Prepare and review group consolidation, including cash flow statements, intercompany balances and transactions, and consolidation adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reports.
- Handle corporate tax matters and ensure timely submission of tax returns, tax estimates and other statutory tax requirements.
- Liaise with tax agents and tax authorities on tax compliance, queries and other tax matters.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors on audit and financial reporting matters.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with MFRS, tax regulations, internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and improving finance reporting processes.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
- MIA member or holder of ACCA, CPA or other recognised professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience in month-end closing, group consolidation, financial reporting and taxation will be an added advantage.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Able to review and guide junior finance team members and work effectively under tight reporting deadlines.
- Proactive, responsible and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines in a professional manner.
