Job Description
- Handle the full set of accounts and daily accounting operations for the transportation business.
- Manage AP, AR, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and payment schedules.
- Monitor and record fuel, vehicle maintenance, repairs, insurance, road tax, and fleet expenses.
- Process staff/driver claims, reimbursements, petty cash, and operational expenses.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow updates.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing and ensure accounts are properly reconciled.
- Monitor fleet operating costs and assist with budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, suppliers, customers, and relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong full-set accounting experience.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet, or related industries is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting, taxation, financial reporting, AP/AR, and reconciliation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as AutoCount or SQL Accounting.
- Strong analytical, numerical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
- Responsible, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and able to coordinate with operations teams, drivers, suppliers, and customers.
