SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR (SSS) - Kuching
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and report on-site safety and health performance, and develop management plans and activity calendars for safety initiatives.
Support the SHO by providing guidance and advice on safety and health practices at the site.
Assist in completing documentation and applications required to meet statutory requirements for project sites.
Conduct periodic site inspections to identify potential safety and health hazards and submit detailed reports to the Project Manager or Safety & Health Officer (SHO).
Identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and implement effective control measures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing comprehensive reports with recommendations for preventive actions
Liaise with government agencies such as DOSH, CIDB, KKM, local authorities, and other stakeholders, including project clients and consultants.
Advise the project team on necessary actions to enhance safety practices and procedures.
Participate in site meetings, conduct safety and health training sessions, deliver toolbox talks, and facilitate safety discussions.
Requirements
Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field and valid Yellow Book
Registered with DOSH/ JKKP).
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience as Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) in the construction industry.
Competent in Malaysia safety regulations & standards and Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
