
ACCOUNT - Kuching
Job Description:
Handle a full set of accounts and ensure all financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
Manage daily accounting and finance operations.
Process and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure all accounting transactions are properly recorded.
Prepare, verify, and process staff reimbursement claims, including petty cash claims.
Maintain proper documentation and an organized filing system for all accounting and financial records.
Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, including following up on outstanding payments and supplier balances.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, suppliers, and internal departments as required.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
Qualification & requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance. Fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience with accounting software such as AutoCount, SQL Accounting, or similar systems will be an added advantage.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
Preferred Chinese candidates or candidates proficient in Mandarin.
Responsible, trustworthy, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Able to work under pressure, priorities tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
