SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR- Within Sarawak
Responsibility:
Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
Ensure proper use of PPE and its availability at site.
Conduct site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
To advise and report to Project Manager / Construction Manager for any conformity in terms of health & safety measures at site.
Work closely with project teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
Prepare and maintain safety documentation (reports, checklists, incident reports).
Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with corrective actions.
Maintain up to date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices, incorporating them into site safety protocols.
Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineer, and subcontractors on safety matters.
Ensure proper housekeeping and site organization.
Liaise with authorities (e.g., DOSH) when required.
Qualification:
Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or related field
Minimum 3 years working experience in construction site safety
Registered with DOSH Yellow Book holder.
Good knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Act and safety regulations
Able to work independently and enforce discipline on site
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Computer literate and able to work under minimum supervision
