CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - Bintulu (Tatau)
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion
Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and work plans
Manage project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Supervise site activities to ensure work is executed according to specifications and drawings
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
Monitor project progress and prepare weekly/monthly reports
Ensure quality control and adherence to project standards
Resolve technical issues and site challenges efficiently
Manage procurement of materials and equipment
Review and approve contractor claims, variations, and invoices
Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals
Maintain proper project documentation and records (QA/QC)
Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget
Liaise with authorities for permits, approvals, and inspections
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in construction/project management
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
Proficiency in project management tools/software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD is an advantage)
Experience in handling site instruction (SI), variation orders (VO), and extension of time
Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, and contract management
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations
Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) are an added advantage
