OPERATIONS MANAGER - Miri
Operation Manager Responsibilities
 

  • The Operation Manager shall be responsible for the overall management of the CONTRACTOR's
  • personnel and the WORK, including but not limited to:
  • Overall Operation
  • Shall be responsible for the overall operation of the CONTRACTOR work with the COMPANY.
  • Liaison With Company
  • Shall liaise with the COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE and shall ensure that all WORK, including the
  • compilation of reports and the like, is completed expeditiously.
  • Personnel Supply
  • Shall be responsible for the supply of competent, experienced and qualified personnel, as specified
  • in Contract Document.
  • Regulatory Compliance (Ionizing Radiation)
  • Be fully aware of, and shall comply with, and cause the CONTRACTOR personnel to comply with,
  • the requirements of the Atomic Energy Licensing Act 1984 (ACT 304) and all other regulations in
  • force in Malaysia or which may come into force in Malaysia during the tenure of the CONTRACT,
  • with regards to ionizing radiation.
  • Working Permits & Documentation
  • Shall be responsible to ensure all personnel has valid Working Permits and any other regulatory
  • documentation.
  • Certifications & Training
  • Shall be responsible for ensuring that all personnel possess valid certifications and required training,
  • as specified in the CONTRACT and TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION.
  • Compliance With Standards
  • Shall be responsible for WORK is carried out in accordance with the COMPANY's specifications,
  • Malaysian and International Standard and the CONTRACTOR's procedures.
  • All of the CONTRACTOR's procedures shall be submitted to the COMPANY for approval prior to the
  • commencement of the WORK).
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Shall be responsible to ensure CONTRACTOR's EQUIPMENT is maintained in good working order,
  • properly serviced, correctly calibrated and the like.
  • Quality Monitoring
  • Responsible to monitor and review quality control and quality assurance manuals, NDT procedures
  • and the like including their subcontractor.
  • Inspection Report Preparation
  • Responsible to monitor inspection personnel in the preparation of all reports as may be required by
  • the COMPANY in accordance with the contract.

A) Qualification

  • She/he shall possess the following:
  • Degree in any discipline with SEVEN (7) years’ experience in inspection and corrosion monitoring
  • related activities with minimum FIVE (5) years in management role,
  • OR;
  • Diploma in any discipline with NINE (9) years’ experience in inspection and corrosion monitoring
  • related activities with minimum FIVE (5) years in management role,
  • OR;
  • SPM or equivalent with TWELVE (12) years’ experience in inspection and corrosion monitoring
  • related activities with minimum FIVE (5) years in management role.
  • ii. Possess or had a previous certification of API 570 or API 510 or API 653 or CSWIP 3.2 and NDT
  • Level II (PCN or equivalent).

B) Attribute

  • Apply good knowledge on corrosion monitoring and non-destructive testing NDT methods,
  • applications and limitations.
  • Have a sound knowledge of International Codes and Standard relating to oil and gas industry,
  • structure, pipelines, pressure vessels and process facilities e.g. ASME, AWS, API, ASTM, SSPC,
  • BGAS, and NACE standard specifications and statutory body (DOSH) related to corrosion control
  • and monitoring activities.
  • Shall be computer literate, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to read and interpret on engineering drawings.
  • Possess sound knowledge on Risk Based Inspection, Corrosion Risk Assessment, Protective
  • Coatings and Lining, Cathodic Protection including testing and monitoring techniques, Corrosion
  • Monitoring including the operation of different type pressure access fittings, service valves and
  • retrievers as applied to onshore and offshore production processing facility.
  • Have leadership quality and be able to coordinate and supervise other inspection and corrosion
  • monitoring personnel and organize work.
  • Good command in both written and spoken languages i.e. Malay and English.
  • Able to demonstrate personal drive, initiative and self-motivated combined with the right result
  • for the team.

ENERGY WORKFORCE SARAWAK SDN BHD - 1. NDT PROJECT ENGINEER (Miri), 1 post, Degree in Engineering, 5+ yrs oil & gas/NDT, lead inspection projects, ensure ISO17020 compliance, strong industrial codes knowledge, good communication.
2. OPERATIONS MANAGER (Miri), Degree/Diploma/SPM with 7–12 yrs inspection & corrosion work and 5 yrs management, oversee NDT operations, standards, radiation safety, staffing, reporting.
