NDT PROJECT ENGINEER - Miri
Principal Roles & Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Ensure efficient and safe execution of work in accordance with Contract terms.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager on project and contractual matters.
- Review work instructions and assign tasks to Technical & Inspection teams.
- Take full responsibility for the execution, performance, and safety of WORK.
- Coordinate seamlessly with internal EWE departments for effective communication.
- Plan and prepare execution documents including work packs and JSAs.
- Ensure competent manpower mobilization based on job requirements.
- Ensure endorsed Level 3 reports are submitted within 14 days of demobilization.
- Ensure accurate and error-free timesheets are completed and signed.
- Communicate with MATCO regarding equipment availability.
- Operational Planning
- Prepare detailed job scope, site visit (if required), duration estimate, access needs, labor hours, and procedures before mobilization.
- Ensure all documentation is completed before job execution.
- ISO 17020 Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure procedures for selecting, training, authorizing, and monitoring inspectors are implemented.
- Ensure related software and systems for inspection work are adequate.
- Ensure inspectors apply correct inspection procedures as required.
- Maintain documented instructions for inspection planning, sampling, and techniques.
- Ensure inspection standards, procedures, checklists, and reference materials are current.
- Ensure inspection reports comply with ISO17020 clause 7.4.2.
- Ensure reports are reviewed and signed by the approved signatory.
- Ensure compliance with the following:
- ISO 17020
- ILAC P15
- MIBAS Policy 1 & Policy 2
- MIBAS Technical Requirement for NDT (MTR 2)
- Required Education & Experience
- Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas (inspection background preferred).
- Immediate availability is a strong advantage.
- Additional NDT certifications are an added bonus.
- Required Certifications
- At least one required; more is an advantage)
- ASNT / PCN / CSWIP / ISO9712 Level II
- API / WI certifications
- Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial codes & standards.
- Good technical writing skills (procedures, reports, audit documents).
- Strong leadership and coordination skills with multi-discipline teams.
