SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS COORDINATOR (SENCO)

Job Purpose
Tunku Putra-HELP School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic SENCO to lead and coordinate learning support
across Kindy, International Primary, National Primary, International Secondary and National Secondary.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee special educational needs (SEN) provision across the school.
• Support teachers in identifying and meeting students’ additional learning needs.
• Develop effective learning support strategies and promote inclusive education.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and school leaders to support student progress.
• Promote students’ well-being and ensure safeguarding requirements are met.

Requirements

• Relevant degree and recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
• At least four years of teaching experience across primary and/or secondary age groups.
• Experience and knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive education.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and the holistic development of students.

Reporting To: Assistant Principal (Pastoral), and ultimately, the Executive Principal.
