JUNIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare quantity take-offs from construction drawings.
• Calculate quantities of materials needed for construction.
• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ) and cost estimates.
• Request and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in purchasing and ordering construction materials.
• Monitor material costs and project expenses.
• Measure completed work on site.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and payment documents.
• Check subcontractors’ claims and invoices.
• Record and calculate variation orders (additional or changed works).
• Update project cost reports and Excel spreadsheets.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project documents, drawings, quotations, and records.
• Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager with other related duties.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveyor/Construction Management/Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2–3 years’ experience in retaled field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, good manner and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office
