ACCOUNT ASSISTANT

Responsibilities:

• Handle daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other accounting documents.
• Monitoring & ensure accuracy of stock quantities & movement of stocks inside system.
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Perform data entry and maintain proper filing of accounting records.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable balances.
• Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
• Process staff claims and payment-related matters.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, banks, and other relevant parties regarding accounting matters.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must have at least 1 - 2 years of working experience
• Familiarity with accounting software such as SQL Accounting or AutoCount
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Responsible, reliable, and willing to learn.
• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting, SST, payroll, or tax procedures is an advantage.
