Role Purpose
The Digital Engineering Technician supports TPEA’s digital engineering function, including 2D and 3D modelling,
drawing and model updates, digital engineering records, model coordination, and model-based planning support.
This role is suitable for a candidate with CAD, 3D modelling, digital construction, architecture, civil engineering,
construction management, or BIM-related background.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD.
- Prepare drawings and models based on project specifications.
- Work with engineers, planners, and project team members to ensure models and drawings are accurate.
- Maintain organised records of drawings, models, and revisions.
- Support model coordination and drawing revision control.
- Assist with integration of models with planning and scheduling software.
- Support digital construction sequencing and 4D planning workflows.
- Assist in preparing 4D animations and sequence review materials.
- Help identify modelling, sequencing, or coordination issues.
- Learn and adapt to software tools such as Navisworks, Synchro Pro, BIM platforms, and Primavera P6-related workflows.
- Support TPEA in developing its digital engineering

Required Skills and Attributes
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, CAD, BIM, Digital Construction, or related field.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Interest in 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Basic understanding of engineering or architectural principles.
- Ability to manage drawing and model revisions.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to work with engineers, planners, and project personnel.
- Willingness to learn new digital engineering tools.
Preferred Skills
- Relevant CAD or 3D modelling certification.
- Revit, Navisworks, Synchro Pro or BIM platform exposure.
- Primavera P6 or planning software exposure.
- 4D planning or construction sequencing interest.
- Construction or civil engineering project exposure.
