JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based applications and internal software systems.
• Build full-stack applications using the MERN Stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design, manage and maintain databases.
• Participate in software development projects from planning and development through testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Perform software testing, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Use Git/GitHub/GitLab for source control and collaborative development.
• Assist with CI/CD pipelines, application deployment and release processes.
• Assist in deploying and maintaining applications on servers or cloud platforms.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support where required.
• Work with team members and users to understand requirements and translate them into practical software solutions.
• Prepare and maintain basic technical and system documentation.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems and development processes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and modern web development.
• Familiarity with the MERN Stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and responsive web design.
• Understanding of REST APIs, JSON and database concepts.
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and software deployment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt and work with new technologies.
