CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (1 Post)
Based in Lawas near Sipitang, Sabah
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, CIvil Engineering, or related field.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Knowledge of construction methods, safety, and quality standards.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage site teams, subcontractors, and projects.
At least 5 years related field experience in civil and structural construction works
Key Responsibilities:
Oversees and manages all on-site construction activities for the project, ensuring that works are executed safely, efficiently, and in strict accordance with project drawings, specifications, and the construction schedule.
Coordinates closely with Project Manager, discipline engineers, subcontractors and supervisors to ensure that manpower, materials, and machinery are deployed effectively for each stage of construction.
Develops and implements details construction work plans, monitor daily progress, and ensures adherence to key milestones and critical path timelines as defined in the project schedule.
Ensure all construction works meet required quality, safety, and environmental standards, in compliance with client requirements and regulatory guidelines (eg. DOSH, DOE).
Lead site coordination meetings, progress briefings, and technical discussion to resolve construction issues, sequencing challenges, and design discrepancies.
Review drawings, method statements, and material submission in coordination with QA/QC and engineering teams, providing site-level validation and feedback.
Supervises and mentors site engineers, general foreman, and supervisors, ensuring that work is executed in accordance with best practices and approved work procedures.
Verifies and approves daily progress reports, approval chits, site construction, and as-built markups, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the Project Manager.
Support the testing and commissioning phase by coordinates with M&E teams, vendors, and commissioning agents to ensure system functionally and readiness for handover.
