Job Responsibilities:
Act as the Engineer’s representative on site for water pipeline and associated civil works.
Supervise overall construction activities including pipe laying, jointing, thrust block construction, valve chambers, washouts, air valves, high level tanks, booster pump stations, and reinstatement works.
Ensure works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
Review and verify contractor’s method statements, work programme, shop drawings, and material submissions.
Monitor construction progress and ensure project milestones are achieved.
Conduct site inspections and witness testing (pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, chlorination, etc.).
Issue site instructions (SI), non-compliance reports (NCR), and maintain proper site documentation.
Evaluate contractor’s progress claims and variation works.
Chair and attend site meetings; prepare and submit progress reports to Client.
Liaise with water authorities such as Jabatan Bekalan Air Sarawak (JBALB) and other relevant agencies.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental requirements.
Coordinate with utility agencies to prevent service conflicts and damages.

Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in water supply / transmission pipeline projects.
Strong knowledge in DI, HDPE, MS pipes installation and testing.
Pipeline experience involving High Level Tank (HLT) and Booster Pump Station projects is preferred.
Experience in contract administration is an added advantage.
