SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/ACCOUNTING MANAGER

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Kuching
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall operations of the accounting and finance function.
Oversee full sets of accounts including account settlement, consolidation, and month-end/year-end closing.
Prepare and review budgets, financial forecasts, management accounts, and statutory financial reports.
Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to management to support business decision-making.
Liaise with banks, auditors, company secretaries, tax consultants, and government authorities on financial,   accounting, and regulatory matters.
Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
Review and enhance internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes to improve efficiency and   accuracy.
Lead, mentor, and supervise accounting team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time
Requirements
Recognized Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related fields.
Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and/or Malaysian Institute of Accountants 
MIA).
Minimum 5–7 years of relevant working experience, including managerial or supervisory exposure.
Strong knowledge of Government Service Tax (GST) and other relevant tax regulations.
Solid understanding of accounting standards, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
