TRAVEL OPERATIONS & RESERVATIONS EXECUTIVE - Kuching
Position Summary
The Travel Operations & Reservations Executive will be responsible for coordinating travel arrangements,
managing tour operations, handling reservations, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring smooth execution of travel
programs from booking to departure.
Key Responsibilities
Tour Operations
Coordinate and manage group tours, educational tours, incentive trips, and leisure travel packages.
Liaise with airlines, hotels, transport providers, cruise companies, attractions, and overseas ground operators.
Prepare and verify itineraries, rooming lists, passenger manifests, and travel documents.
Monitor booking status and ensure timely confirmations from suppliers.
Handle visa applications and travel documentation where required.
Support tour leaders and customers before, during, and after travel.
Reservations & Customer Service
Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, and social media.
Process flight, hotel, cruise, transport, and tour bookings.
Assist in preparing quotations and travel proposals.
Provide accurate travel information and recommendations to customers.
Manage booking amendments, cancellations, and refunds.
Administration & Coordination
Maintain accurate customer and booking records.
Coordinate payment collection and supplier payments with the Accounts Department.
Prepare operational reports and departure documents.
Assist in travel fairs, roadshows, exhibitions, and company events.
Perform airport send-off and meet-and-greet duties when required.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the travel industry is preferred.
Fresh graduates with a strong passion for travel are encouraged to apply.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good command of English and Mandarin.
Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to travel and work outside normal office hours when necessary.
Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
Preferred Skills
Experience in tour operations and travel reservations.
Knowledge of airline booking systems and travel platforms.
Familiarity with visa application procedures.
Experience handling group departures and incentive travel.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
