Job Summary
Responsible for managing the company's accounting and financial records, ensuring accurate financial reporting,
monitoring project costs, processing payments, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. The role
supports the financial operations of construction projects and the overall company.
Key Responsibilities
Handle full set of accounts and daily accounting operations.
Prepare and maintain accounting records, ledgers, and financial reports.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
Monitor project costs and ensure expenses are properly allocated to projects.
Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and inter-company accounts.
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Assist in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial planning.
Process payroll and ensure timely statutory submissions.
Prepare and submit statutory payments including:
EPF (KWSP)
SOCSO (PERKESO)
EIS
PCB (Income Tax)
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, government authorities, suppliers, and clients.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (construction industry experience is an advantage).
Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Familiar with Malaysian tax and statutory requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills (Construction Industry)
Knowledge of construction progress claims and subcontractor claims.
Experience in project costing and budget monitoring.
Familiar with retention sums, variation orders (VO), and contract administration.
Understanding of CIDB-related documentation and compliance.
Salary: RM2,500 – RM5,500 (depending on qualifications and experience)
