HR & PAYROLL EXECUTIVE (Job Grade – E1) - 1 post (Contract Basis) - Kuching
Job Description:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: post job openings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, obtain management approvals, issue job offers etc.
Coordinate and facilitate a smooth onboarding and orientation experience for all new hires.
Payroll & Compliance
Process monthly payroll accurately and on time using the Autocount Payroll System.
Manage, calculate, and submit all monthly statutory contributions, including EPF (KWSP), SOCSO (PERKESO), EIS (SIP), PCB/Tax (LHDN), HRDCorp Levy and others within legal deadlines.
Ensure strict compliance with the Sarawak Labour Ordinance and other statutory regulations.
Employee Relations & Performance
Act as the primary point of contact for staff inquiries, grievances and conflict resolution.
Coordinate annual performance appraisal exercises and track probationary staff confirmation evaluations.
Training & Development
Compile company-wide training needs and prepare the yearly training budget.
Coordinate training logistics, including HRDCorp grant applications, claims and other related administrative arrangements.
Policies & Governance
Maintain, review, and update the Employee Handbook and internal HR policies.
Ensure organization-wide compliance with current employment laws and safeguard confidential digital and physical employee personnel files.
Compensation & Benefits
Administer company benefits, including medical insurance, medical/dental claims, leave tracking etc.
Assist management in reviewing salary packages/salary scale to ensure market competitiveness.
Facilitate documentation and administrative processing for staff promotions, salary increment and bonuses.
Perform any other duties, within the general framework of the Job Description's, as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Experience: at least 3-5 years of working experience in HR, with direct hands-on experience running payroll.
Must possess own transport with a valid driving license.
Strong, up-to-date knowledge of labour laws (specifically the Sarawak Labour Ordinance) and statutory guidelines.
Computer literate with high proficiency in MS Office and hands-on experience using HRMS/payroll software.
Fluent in speaking, reading and writing in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Highly motivated, committed and possesses a positive working attitude.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining results-oriented.
Strong team player with excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight payroll deadlines.
