HSE OFFICER (HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT OFFICER) - Kuching
Responsibilities :-
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with DOSH regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards.
Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety inductions.
Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, permits, and records.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
Coordinate emergency response drills and safety training programs.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety culture.
Requirements:-
Possess a valid NIOSH Yellow Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer).
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in the Oil & Gas and/or Power Industry.
Familiar with DOSH regulations, OSHA 1994, and relevant HSE standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
Preferred Qualifications:-
Experience in shutdown, maintenance, construction, or commissioning projects.
Additional safety certifications will be an added advantage.
Possess a valid driving license.
