SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER/ PROJECT ENGINEER  Sarawak (Initial stage – Kuching, Later stage – Kapit/ Belaga)
Job Description
Project execution for water treatment system projects.
Review project specifications to ensure design complies with customer specifications
Prepare and update engineering documents (data sheets, lists, schedule, drawings, etc.)
Review of supplier and sub-contractor deliverable to ensure compliance with project specification.
Coordinate all technical activities with multiple stakeholders including clients, consultants, main con and all our   sub-tiers such as subcons and suppliers.
Prepare the submissions and resubmissions to project consultants and clients according to project schedule and   clear the submittal comments.
Coordinate and update schedules, forecasts and reports for the project.
Plan, schedule, conduct, and execute/coordinate assigned engineering work/site works.
Coordinate and check engineering deliverables.
Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned works between all disciplines and all other project   participants.
Handle and solve issues at site throughout the whole project.
Supervise/coordinate site works and ensure work progress on time with good quality and high standard of   safety practices are always carried out. This includes managing the work by all sub-tiers.
Attend site progress and technical meetings with the project team, main cons, consultants and Client to resolve   site and technical issues.
Monitor daily work process and progress at project sites during installation, testing and commissioning,   operation and maintenance, and handing over stage.
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical/ environmental/ mechanical/ electrical engineering.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project construction sites. Candidates with knowledge or experience   in water or environmental industry will be at an advantage.
Familiarity with local regulations (e.g., SPAN, JBALB, JKR standards) and international design codes.
Self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and   provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people.
Must be computer literacy in commonly used software applications such as MS Office, general knowledge in   scheduling such as MS Project.
Willing to travel to outstations at remote / rural areas within Sarawak such as Kapit, Belaga, Betong, etc
