Job Title: ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE
Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: RM2,000 – RM2,500 per month
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring statutory
compliance, and supporting audit readiness in line with applicable Malaysian laws and regulations.
This role oversees payroll, invoicing, tax submissions, and financial reporting while liaising with
internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate records and enable smooth business
operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare a complete set of Company Accounts using Accounting Software (either SQL or others), to be submitted to auditors.
Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure accurate and timely payment of staff salaries, including statutory contributions
EPF, SOCSO, EIS), and compliance with applicable labor and payroll regulations in Malaysia.
Prepare monthly financial reports to assist in financial budgeting and forecasting.
Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Prepare invoices and ensure timely payment of Company bills, constantly maintaining accurate records of invoices, receipts, and other financial paperwork.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as clients, partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and others, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely collections and payments.
Assist in tax preparation and compliance with LHDN requirements, including SST submissions, maintaining tax documentation, and preparing EA Forms for applicable Directors and employees.
Monitor staff expense claims and manage the office petty cash while ensuring adherence to relevant Company policies.
Perform reasonable ad-hoc tasks as required by Upper Management from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
At least a Degree in Accounting or Accounting and Finance from a recognized University
Minimum CGPA of 3.2 and above
Possesses an ACCA (Advantageous but Not Compulsory)
Technical & Information Technology Skills:
Proficiency in SQL software (Advantageous but Not Compulsory)
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
