FEEDMILL MANAGER - Simunjan, Sarawak
Requirements:
Degree in Animal Nutrition, Feed Science, Agriculture, or related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in feedmill operations, with exposure to swine nutrition.
Strong understanding of pig nutrition across life stages.
Proficiency in feed formulation software (e.g., Brill, Format).
Knowledge of enzymes, mycotoxin management, and gut health strategies.
Experience managing production teams and plant operations.
Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a fully integrated swine operation.
Familiarity with alternative raw materials (PKC, DDGS, rice bran, etc.)
Proven track record in cost reduction and performance improvement.
Understanding of local and regional feed ingredient markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee end-to-end feedmill operations (production, maintenance, inventory, and logistics).
Develop and optimize swine feed formulations (starter, grower, finisher, sow diets).
Drive feed cost optimization strategies while maintaining performance (FCR, ADG, mortality rates).
Manage sourcing and evaluation of raw materials (e.g., corn, SBM, PKC, wheat bran) and
additives (enzymes, acidifiers, premixes).
Ensure strict quality control from raw material intake to finished feed.
Implement enzyme and additive programs (e.g., phytase, protease, NSP enzymes) to enhance nutrient utilization.
Monitor and improve quality, feed hygiene, and mill efficiency.
Collaborate closely with farm and veterinary teams to align feed programs with herd performance.
Maintain biosecurity, safety, and regulatory compliance within the feedmill.
Lead, train, and develop feedmill personnel.
