QS CUM PURCHASING
Requirement
Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum 2-5 years experience in QS and/or purchase role (construction industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction costing, BQ, contracts and procurement processes
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Good negotiation and cost analysis skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic QS software
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
Strong communication and coordination skills within consultants, suppliers and site team
Job Description
Prepare cost estimates and project budgets based on drawings and specifications
Conduct feasibility studies and advise on cost efficiency and value engineering
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and tender documents
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in contract documentation
Source and procure materials, equipment and services from qualified suppliers
Compare quotations and ensure best value (price, quality, delivery, terms)
Monitor material delivery and coordinate with site team
Track project costs and manage cost control / overruns
Assess work progress and certify subcontractor payments
Prepare progress payment certificate
Evaluate and manage variation orders (VO) and cost negotiations
