ASSISTANT PROJECT ENGINEER Location: Kuching, Sarawak Full Time
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of engineering drawings (AutoCAD is an advantage).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Practical and proactive mindset with strong time management and organisational skills.
Good sense of judgment and ability to make sound decisions in daily tasks.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Good command of English (written and spoken).
Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn.
Willing to travel or work on-site and perform site visits as required.
Key responsibilities
Assist the Project Engineer in planning, scheduling, and executing construction works.
Monitor daily site activities to ensure progress aligns with project timelines.
Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and government departments.
Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and government regulations.
Prepare, review, and assist in the submission of tender documents.
Support cost estimation, bill of quantities, and technical documentation for tenders.
Conduct site inspections and report progress, issues, and delays.
Assist in resolving technical, site, or regulatory issues.
Maintain proper documentation, including daily/weekly/monthly progress reports, project records, and tender files.
Attend site meetings and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
Able to travel when required.
Perform any duties as assigned from time to time.
