Job Summary:
Oversee feed and raw material quality assurance processes, including laboratory analysis, premix control, and feed
safety compliance to ensure all feeds and raw materials meet required quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The
role ensures effective laboratory operations, monitoring of raw material quality, and adherence to ISO Feed Safety
Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.
Job Description:
Overall in charge of laboratory and premix operations, ensuring the quality and safety of feeds and raw materials through proper sampling, testing, and analysis.
Verify laboratory test results and ensure quality controllers perform proper validation before approval or release of raw materials and finished feeds.
Perform inventory control of laboratory chemicals and premix ingredients, including stock recording, issuance, and monthly stock verification.
Conduct checks on premix stock and balance inventory to ensure accuracy and availability for production needs.
Issue feed medication forms and collaborate with the Field Technical Team to ensure premix formulations are prepared accurately based on production needs and technical recommendations.
Lead and coordinate ISO Feed Safety Management System activities, including documentation control, internal audits, compliance monitoring, corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and certification requirements.
Act as the person in charge of poison license compliance, ensuring proper storage, handling, documentation, and regulatory reporting for controlled substances used in medicated feed and premix production.
Maintain records and inventory control of scheduled poisons in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
Education & Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
Possess certification related to Feed Safety, Quality Management Systems, HACCP, or ISO standards is an added advantage.
Relevant Experience:
Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, laboratory operations, or manufacturing environment.
Experience in feed safety systems, raw material testing, and premix formulation is preferred.
Working experience in the feed industry will be an added advantage.
