ADMIN & PURCHASING ASSISTANT - Kuching, Sarawak
Responsibility:
Responsible coordinating and administering daily procurement operations, including processing purchase requisitions and orders, sourcing and liaising with suppliers and monitoring delivery schedules
Coordinate closely with suppliers and site teams on delivery arrangements and track outstanding orders to avoid work disruption
To monitor material supply status against site work progress, update daily procurement-related reports, and escalate urgent or critical procurement issues affecting site operations
Manage and verify procurement documents for payment submission, including matching PR, PO, delivery and invoice documents, maintaining proper filing records and following up with relevant parties to avoid payment delays
To monitor and link site work progress with material supply status, plant availability, and urgent procurement needs
To provide general administrative support including procurement-related correspondence, document control, maintaining trackers, and assisting with ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned
Qualification:
Minimum SPM / Diploma in Business Administration or related field
Proven experience in an administrative or procurement role preferred
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic computer skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Good communication skills in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia (written & verbal)
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
