
SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - Immediate Vacancy
Kuching office (Occasionally to Site Office)
Job Purpose
Assist the Finance & Accounts Department in daily accounting operations, data entry, document
verification, and financial reporting support. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Data Entry
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules
Perform daily bookkeeping, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger updates
Support the maintenance of project accounting records
Verify supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents before posting
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Prepare supplier payment lists and assist in processing payments on schedule.
Issue invoices to clients and monitor collections
Record and reconcile accounts receivable and payable transaction
Tax & Statutory Compliance
Assist in preparing SST submissions, EPF/SOCSO/EIS records, and related statutory filings
Maintain organized files for tax, audit, and compliance documentation
Support the Accountant during year-end tax and audit exercises
Project Accounting Support
Track project expenses and update cost records against budgets
Help prepare progress billing documents and retention schedules
Update and reconcile project bank and petty cash accounts
Occasionally travel to site to assist project account recording and update
System & Process Support
Use the company’s ERP/accounting software (AutoCount) for transaction processing
Maintain digital and physical filing systems for accounting documents
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, government agencies and other relevant parties
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Office Administration team as required
Assist on job duties assigned by superior from time to time
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience (preferably in the construction or project-based industry)
Familiarity with basic financial reporting and bookkeeping procedures
Able to handle e-invoicing, SST and large project accounting
Able to work independently
Proficient in written and spoken Chinese, Bahasa Melayu and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (AutoCount)
Basic understanding of MFRS principles and LHDN regulations
Experience in handling JKR or CIDB project documentation
