QAQC ENGINEER

Job Description 

• Implement and monitor the project QA/QC plan to ensure work meets specifications and standards
• Prepare and manage ITP, inspection checklists, and QAQC documentation
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultant/client for RFI / WIR submissions and approvals
• Ensure materials used are approved and comply with specifications (material inspection & verification)
• Coordinate required tests (e.g., concrete, soil, welding, coating, etc.) and compile test reports
• Identify non-conformance issues, raise NCR, follow up corrective/preventive actions, and close-out reports
• Maintain proper filing of QAQC documents (inspection reports, test results, approvals, as-built records)
• Assist in internal audits and support ISO/quality compliance (if applicable)
• Work closely with project/site team to improve workmanship and reduce rework

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or related field
• 2–5 years QA/QC experience in construction / engineering projects (fresh graduates may be considered for junior role)
• Good knowledge of QAQC processes, inspection/testing procedures, ITP, MIR/WIR, NCR, RFI, method statement, and material approvals
• Familiar with project specifications, standards and codes (e.g., ISO / local standards)
• Able to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents
• Good communication skills and able to coordinate with site team, consultant, and subcontractors
• Computer literate (MS Office; QAQC reporting/document control)
• Willing to travel / work on site when required
